Course Audio Update September 2007This project is now completedAll the audio files have now been recorded and uploaded, and those that needed adjusting have been re-recorded or edited . Course Audio IntroductionYou can listen to A Course in Miracles being read by downloading these files. The recordings are of CD quality and some are quite large. The Course is being read from the Sparkly Book edition. More about the Sparkly book here: Thetford Foundation. Daily readings from the Text and Manual, with a section to be heard each day, are now complete, enabling you to hear the whole of these essential study materials while doing the lessons daily. We are following Annie's One Year Study Brief, which you can download in Word format here: ACIM One Year Study Brief . Note that although a lesson is given every day, and the Course itself instructs that not more than one lesson per day should be attempted, there is no restriction on how much time you spend with each lesson. If you find that a day is not enough, it's perfectly okay to spend more than a day on any lesson. Simply ignore the dates for the remaining lessons and do them in the order given. Numbering ConventionText files are numbered by chapter and section. Text 20.5 means Chapter 20, section 5. Where there is a long introduction, it is labelled, for example, Text 20.0, denoting Chapter 20, Section 0 (that is, Intro). Otherwise the introduction is included with Section 1 and there is no Section 0. The first major heading is numbered, for example, Text 18.1, or Chapter 18, section 1. The section beginning at the next major heading is Section 2, labelled Text 18.2. In one instance a missed section had to be inserted later and is given a following letter, so that Text 28.5a follows Text 28.5. Where there are more than 9 sections, in the earlier chapters 8.9 is followed by 8.10, but this proved problematic because a computer reads this as equivalent to 8.1 and may place the files in the wrong order. So in the later chapters the section following 25.9, for example, is 25.91. These labels will be adjusted later for consistency. Workbook files are numbered by the Lesson number, for example, Lesson 1, Lesson 23. Files other than lessons (introductions to parts 1 and 2 and extra reading given with some later lessons) are labelled Workbook Intro or Workbook 235, which means the workbook extra material given with Lesson 235. Teacher's Manual files are numbered Manual 1, Manual 10, etc, corresponding to the divisions (questions) in the manual itself. The rather long fourth and fifth questions were divided up for this purpose and are labelled, for example, Manual 4.2, Manual 5.3. Use of Terms files are numbered Terms 1, Terms 2, and where relevant followed by the name of the term being defined, for example, Terms 7 Holy Spirit. To see the file name before you download it, point to the highlighted link and check the bottom left corner of your browser screen (in most popular browsers).
Corrected filesA number of files are being corrected, usually deleting sentences where a phrase was repeated during recording to improve its intonation, and not deleted later.
